There is no doubt that the Internet is a completely different environment to the high Street and that the available methods marketing are different. However why is it that we have forgotten the fundamental elements of successful digital marketing?

The key aims of our online efforts are to attract, engage and ultimately convert our target audience to customers. With the ever growing choices available and the tremendous volume ofinformation at their disposal, it has never been more important to think about “engagement”. Why did we ever forget this vital element of marketing which creates differentiation, customer interest and loyalty?

Believe it or not  a 30 second video is the equivalent of over 250,000 written words!

When you think about it these statistic are not that surprising.
Video has a tremendous ability to deliver messages in a succinct and intuitive manner. A mere 30 second video can easily introduce a new product, convey some positive comments from happy customers, demonstrate how a specific machine operates… Well almost anything really. Video helps to:

  • Builds Relationships
  • Educate
  • Build Credibility

96% of IT decision makers and tech buyers watch video for business
Google gives considerably more ranking power to online video
75% of executives watch work-related videos of business websites at least once a week
Video traffic will be 69% of all consumer internet traffic in 2017 up from 59% in 2012
Visitors are 60 times more likely to engage with a page that contains video content

Let’s also not forget that video is extremely easy to share and sharing is something all website owners should support. By publishing content that is easy to share you are opening up your business to a far wider audience, especially when utilising the plethora of social networks available.
